The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Well, it use to be. I love Easter candy. "When I was growing up" there was Halloween candy and Easter candy. Now there's candy for every holiday. I still think that there's something special about Easter candy. Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs, Malted Robin Eggs, Pastel Peanut M&M's, love them all. I don't care for jelly beans and those Cadbury Eggs that look like an egg in the middle. Anyway, this Easter season is different. This is what I've been partaking of instead...
ice water. Mainly ice. I fill this cup full of ice and a little water. Then I let the ice melt a bit and I chew on ice all day. I told Andy if he ever throws my ice away he's in big trouble.
Lately I've been wondering if this is how people stay skinny, by drinking water and dissing candy. I don't think I'll ever know. If I don't have the babies by Easter, I'm stashing away a bunch of candy. Really, can't I take one healthy habit I've developed and use it after my pregnancy? I don't think so. Anyway, happy candy season to you!

Amazing!

This is my friend, Annemarie and her sister Diane. Today, I pulled up Annemarie's site and thought, "girl, you look great!" (Diane, you look good too.) Two funerals in two months, doesn't that stink??? That isn't why I am posting this though. I just think that Annemarie looks fabulous. What even amazes me is that she can cook! Most of the time, when I pull up her cooking site, my mouth drops open. I am astonished at her creativity. Do I dare mention that everytime I go to her house it's spotless!? Girlfriend, you rock!

A Historic Day

The Dr. told me I didn't gain enough weight this month. When has this ever happened? Never! We discussed my Bin Gam Goo. He gave me a prescription for an antacid. I doubt that will help my appetite but hopefully I won't get so sick.

Max came with me to my appointment. He wasn't feeling well so I dragged him along. The Dr. and I were having our typical conversation which goes something like this, "since the babies head is down, you probably won't have a c-section." Suddenly, Max said "yeah", just like he knew what we were talking about. The Dr. and I both chuckled. Then Max had the "football conversation" that he always has when he meets someone new. "Do you like the Patriots or the Giants? Do you like Utah or BYU? Do you like Michigan or Ohio State?" That's about exciting as my appointment got. I have about 6 weeks left and it will be filled with Dr.'s appointments, ultrasounds and stress tests.

Do you remember my post on Michael's back pack? No kidding, he pulled something moldy out of it today. He said it started stinking and found the old food. Gross. I think we'll stick with a smaller backpack.

By the way, I do not weigh 280 lbs!

Searching For An Antswer

http://www.ehso.com/ehshome/ants.php

I found this website today and I am hoping it helps. I still have ants. I don't know if I look for them intentionally now but I still see the critters. Why in the world would an ant go into a shower? Don't say it's the mold because my shower is now clean. We bought ant houses and they have helped. I keep seeing three together or one trying to find some food. Someone told me that I have scrub the floors with a good disinfectant, like rubbing alcohol. That way I am erasing the ant trails. I don't think alcohol will be good for my hardwood floor. I was happy to see on this website that vinegar will kill ants. We will now wash the entire kitchen floor with vinegar. I also found it interesting that grits will kill ants. I'm sticking to the ant houses but for sure trying the vinegar. Yukky ants!

Bin Gam Goo

That's what I've named this crap that I've had 3 times in the last two weeks. I am experiencing it even as I write. It all starts with a sour stomach and gets worse from there. I've tried very hard to watch what I eat in case it's spicy or fatty foods that cause the problem. This is what I ate today: applesauce, toast, ramen noodles and vanilla frozen yogurt. That doesn't sound fatty or spicy to you, does it? I'm clueless. I am tired of trying so hard to avoid the Bin Gam Goo and having it come back again. Blah, blah, blah. At least I don't have it every night. I look forward to the day that I can eat what I want. To my friends who will be visiting me in the hospital, I'll have a food list ready for you when you come and visit.

Random Thoughts

1. Since we moved into this house (like 7 months ago), I have been allergic to something here. My eyes have been itchy and goopy. I finally figured out what I'm allergic to, shower mold. Scary, and I'm probably crazy for admiting that I let my shower get so bad it had mold in it. I cleaned it really good about two months ago. Then I would spray it with that daily shower cleaner. Well, the shower cleaner ran out and I quit cleaning it. When I got in the shower the other day and my eyes started itching, I realized it was probably the mold. I cleaned the shower that day and haven't had problems since. My shower is really old and I have no way to air it out, hence the mold. I bought some more daily shower cleaner and hope that keeps my shower clean.

2. It's been over a month since our car accident and we still don't have our car fixed. Of all the winters to need the car, it's been this one. We called last week and there's more damage than the service center thought. I have not idea how much longer we will have to wait.

3. The other day I went to the bookstore and asked for a certain parenting book. I've been a wee bit frustrated with my parenting skills. Anyway, I asked the employee where the book was. She took me right to it. I looked at the book and realized I already had it! Duh! I guess I better go find it and READ it.
