Wait! Why is Maggie holding this flag? The flag, and many flags, were on my neighbors lawn. They were markings for future sprinkler heads. They also marked gas lines. Maggie didn't see that though. She thought they were colorful flags to take out of the grass. That's what she did, she took them out of the neighbors grass. I was mortified. I wondered how I was going to tell my neighbors about my little thief. I left a message on their phone. Luckily, the sprinkler system was done. The flags actually needed to be taken out. Whew!

Happy New Year!
If you can remember, I made my New Year Resolution at the beginning of 2008. I previously mentioned I normally forget my resolution a week after I make it. I remembered this year. It was to lose 10 pounds. I went to the Dr. today and I have met my goal! A whopping 35 pounds. Who would believe that I lost 35 lbs in 6 weeks?! Okay, so it was all baby weight but I'll take the loss and run! Especially since I still have 35 more to lose from my previous pregnancy.
The best feeling was walking to the Dr.s office and not being pregnant. It was so nice to park far from the building and not worry how I'd make it to the office. I'd look for a close parking spot. If I couldn't find one I would take a deep breath and hope I could waddle up the 5 stairs and into his office. Whew! I am SO GLAD it's over. Annemarie was right, having the twins out is much easier than having them in. If you are wondering, I am DONE having children.

What's For Dinner?
People have been so kind to us since the babies have come into our home. Some people help by taking my kids (and babies). Others have brought in meals. If you had to guess what meal we've had the most, what would it be? .......... The answer is lasagna. I'm not complaining. I like lasagna. I am just saying we've had it a lot. Michael told my friend that they were lucky that they WEREN'T having lasagna for dinner. Anyway, the lasagna has come in many different ways. Here are a few:
1. Bland Lasagna: this was one of my favorites. I'm not a spicy type of girl. Everyone loved the meal.
2. Italian Sausage Lasagna: not so much a favorite. My husband really liked the sausage and would like the recipe. I will not make it because I don't like it. He doesn't know this yet.
3. Meaty Lasagna: lots of meat and spices. Not a favorite.
4. Ultra Cheesy Lasagna: what more of a description do you need?
Since I am on the subject of lasagna, I thought I would share a special ingredient that someone puts in their lasagna. My friend told me this story yesterday. She knows someone who knows someone who makes placenta lasagna. Yes, someone who delivers their babies at home takes the placenta and cooks it in lasagna and serves it to her family!!!!!! I asked my friend if she knows FOR SURE if this is true and how exactly does this person know FOR SURE that her friend makes this. She said that the person is up front about this, she just tells people. All I can say about this is that I hope you don't lose your lunch while reading this. Also, if you serve your placenta in a meal, please don't tell me!

Oh Deer! Oh Dear!
I've been aching to get out and plant some flowers! Just one more week til Mother's Day and I should be safe to get started. Who knows with this crazy weather. I really miss the flowers at my old house. I was really attached to them. Andy wanted me to go back to see how great they looked but I didn't want to. I knew I would feel bad to see all the work I put into it. Well, I'll start again.
Anyway, this week I've exclaimed Oh Dear and Oh Deer many times. The following will explain.
Oh Deer! We have many a deer where I live. I have no idea why the previous owners of this house planted tulips. Deer love tulips! I didn't know they were tulips, I thought they were daffodils. I waited for them to bloom. No, they were tulips and they've been eaten. There are two tulips that haven't been eaten. I think they are ugly. They are yellow. Why would someone plant yellow tulips instead of daffodils knowing they would be eaten by the deer? Oh I guess not everyone is as smart as I am. (ha)
Oh Dear! Maggie has started peeing her pants! First I thought it was an accident. She's doing it all day now. I have never had a child do this. Two babies though, it doesn't surprise me. Back to the pull-ups for now.
Oh Dear! Michael has learned how to use my camera. It doesn't take him long to figure things out. He takes better pictures than I take. I've included a couple of self-portraits. Plus he took the picture of the eaten tulips. Anyway, I was deleting some of the pictures he took with my camera. Mr. Photographer took a picture of me while I was in the shower! The shower door was closed but I could see enough. Let's just say that was one of the pictures I deleted!

It almost seems like he took this picture after he took the one of me in the shower. He looks devious and he looks proud of himself. Little stink!
