http://www.ehso.com/ehshome/ants.php
I found this website today and I am hoping it helps. I still have ants. I don't know if I look for them intentionally now but I still see the critters. Why in the world would an ant go into a shower? Don't say it's the mold because my shower is now clean. We bought ant houses and they have helped. I keep seeing three together or one trying to find some food. Someone told me that I have scrub the floors with a good disinfectant, like rubbing alcohol. That way I am erasing the ant trails. I don't think alcohol will be good for my hardwood floor. I was happy to see on this website that vinegar will kill ants. We will now wash the entire kitchen floor with vinegar. I also found it interesting that grits will kill ants. I'm sticking to the ant houses but for sure trying the vinegar. Yukky ants!

Bin Gam Goo
That's what I've named this crap that I've had 3 times in the last two weeks. I am experiencing it even as I write. It all starts with a sour stomach and gets worse from there. I've tried very hard to watch what I eat in case it's spicy or fatty foods that cause the problem. This is what I ate today: applesauce, toast, ramen noodles and vanilla frozen yogurt. That doesn't sound fatty or spicy to you, does it? I'm clueless. I am tired of trying so hard to avoid the Bin Gam Goo and having it come back again. Blah, blah, blah. At least I don't have it every night. I look forward to the day that I can eat what I want. To my friends who will be visiting me in the hospital, I'll have a food list ready for you when you come and visit.

Random Thoughts
1. Since we moved into this house (like 7 months ago), I have been allergic to something here. My eyes have been itchy and goopy. I finally figured out what I'm allergic to, shower mold. Scary, and I'm probably crazy for admiting that I let my shower get so bad it had mold in it. I cleaned it really good about two months ago. Then I would spray it with that daily shower cleaner. Well, the shower cleaner ran out and I quit cleaning it. When I got in the shower the other day and my eyes started itching, I realized it was probably the mold. I cleaned the shower that day and haven't had problems since. My shower is really old and I have no way to air it out, hence the mold. I bought some more daily shower cleaner and hope that keeps my shower clean.
2. It's been over a month since our car accident and we still don't have our car fixed. Of all the winters to need the car, it's been this one. We called last week and there's more damage than the service center thought. I have not idea how much longer we will have to wait.
3. The other day I went to the bookstore and asked for a certain parenting book. I've been a wee bit frustrated with my parenting skills. Anyway, I asked the employee where the book was. She took me right to it. I looked at the book and realized I already had it! Duh! I guess I better go find it and READ it.

Report Card
Michael is a pack rat. He has to keep everything he gets. He keeps it in his bed or his backpack. Show-n-tell is the Michael's favorite subject in school. He usually takes something everyday. I don't think he removes it from his backpack. I am convinced if anyone is going to have back problems in our family, it will be Michael. I can't even pick it up. His backpack is heavier than my college backpack. It's starting to rip and I believe that one day it will explode.
Report cards just came out. Michael had great grades. Max's grades, well, let's just say he could do better. Yesterday, Michael told me that he was bringing his report card AND Max's report card for show-n-tell. "You're what?" I asked. He told me again. I laughed and told him he could bring his report card but there was no way he could bring Max's. Can you imagine? I can already see the therapy bill of the counseling session Max and I had because his brother brought his report card to school. I don't think Michael took it. I'll never know because he's got so much junk in that backpack, it could be hidden in the bottom.

A Diet Coke AND A Coke
The other day I went to Del Taco, a pregnancy fav of mine. The advertisement for the Macho Nacho screamed my name. What if I get the Macho Nacho and don't like it and want my Chicken Burrito? I decided I would get both AND the 89 cent Toastada. I figured the guy would think I was ordering for more than myself. I started thinking about those weight loss shows where people order two combo meals as though they were ordering for someone other than themselves. I thought "why not?" and made the order. I drove off and realized I made a crucial mistake. I should have ordered two drinks instead of one. That way it would seem like I was ordering for someone else. But no, I ordered one Diet Coke. I bet the guy knew it was all for me. I really don't care. I am sure he didn't lose any sleep over it. I didn't.
Did I eat the whole thing? No Way! I probably took 6 bites and was full. I ate more than 6 bites. The food took me through the whole day but I was SO SICK the next day. I don't know if it's the food that did it, if it's the pregnancy or if I have the stomach flu. I have something nasty. I will spare you the details. If I have to eat toast and drink chicken broth for the rest of my pregnancy, I will. Anything not to feel this way.
Oh, and some great news to end this blog. It's been four days since Maggie has worn a diaper! I have committed to being consistent and she is doing so well! Yippee! Such a big accomplishment for her AND for me!!!

You Stink Mom!
That's when I lost it. When Max told me this morning that I stink, and why do I always stink in the morning. My first thought was "how can you say that when I got out of bed and helped you with your cereal?" I know he wasn't trying to be mean, but when one feels like I do, I only need warm fuzzies.I started thinking about this yesterday when I was talking in the phone to Annemarie (ha, I did it!). She was telling her daughter it was time to take a nap. Man, it's been a LONG time since Maggie has taken a nap. The break would be heaven. I realized that I've worked at night for the past 6 years. Just a couple nights a week is all. It's been two weeks since I've worked, since I've left the house and had conversations with adults. For two weeks Miss Maggie has been connected to my hip. For two weeks, no breaks from whining, fighting and complaining. On top of that, I am trying to do this while two babies grow in my tummy. I'm starting to get uncomfortable. I feel sick like I'm in my first trimester. My back hurts. All it took was "you stink" and the dam broke. If only Diet Coke didn't make me sick, I'd have an IV rushing through my veins. Oh, well, one-day-at-a-time.
